An Asset Information Officer job in Melbourne paying circa $38.00 per hour.

**Your new company**
A local council in the south east has a temporary job for an experienced Asset Information Officer. Initially, the role will be for 3 months with the potential to extend.

**Your new role**
You’ll provide, support and perform technical tasks within the assets department including:

- Maintain the currency of asset data of roads, drainage, open space, facilities, and plant & Equipment asset classes.
- Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of Asset Management Information System (AMIS).
- Provide technical advice and support to staff across the organisation in asset data related matters

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as provide high quality technical support, including digital spatial information, maps and training/assistance for various projects when necessary, you’ll have:

- Tertiary qualification relevant to the position (Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Information Management, GIS etc.)
- A proficient appreciation of corporate asset management systems Experience in the use of Corporate GIS system (preferably IntraMaps) and AMIS (preferably IPS) is desirable.
- Well-developed time management, planning and organising skills with a demonstrated ability to set priorities.
