A South-Eastern council is looking for an Asset Consent Officer for a temporary full-time position. Reporting to the Asset Consent Coordinator in the City Planning and Infrastructure team you will provide high-quality service to the community regarding Vehicle Crossover Permits and relevant legislation.

**Your day-to-day will include but are not limited to**:

- Provide advice and information in regard to Permit processes and Local Law as needed.
- Investigate and resolve any breaches relating to Vehicle Crossing Permits in accordance with Locals Laws, Council standards, Road Management Act Council standards, policies, and relevant legislations.
- Perform inspections before, during, and upon completion of the construction of vehicle crossings.

**Requirements include**:

- Demonstrate knowledge of Vehicle Crossing Permits, working within the Road Reserve Permits, including road, path, and drainage construction principles.
- Qualification or demonstrated experience in Civil Construction.
- Capable of reading and interpreting construction and building plans.
- Previous experience in monitoring contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
