**Your new company**
A well-known and established Local Council is currently seeking an experience Asset System Officer to document and maintain standards and procedures for the capture and transfer of data to the AMS and GIS.
**Your new role**
Working as an Asset System Officer your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- To contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and asset management systems, including GIS.
- Ensure asset data is accurately captured, entered and maintained.
- Evaluate the asset management data for areas of enhancement and process improvement.
- Carry out data collection of physical assets by manual and electronic methods including the use of GPS technology.
- Assist in the administration of the AMS.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification related to Geographic Information Systems, Asset Management and/or relevant industry experience ideally within Local Government. You will also have an understanding of AMIS/GIS technology and how they can be applied for the management of asset data as well as some experience in infrastructure design, maintenance or planning.
