**About Student and Scholarly Services and the University Colleges and Residential Life Portfolio**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The University Colleges and Residential Life portfolio is a newly created portfolio in Student and Scholarly Services that manages all University-owned residential accommodation. The portfolio is responsible for delivering a high-quality student and residential experience that supports students to thrive while living on campus, by creating and maintaining a community of scholars with a strong sense of belonging and connectedness to their peers and the University as a whole.

**About the Role**
As the Advancement Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the four University owned Colleges of Medley Hall, International House, Lisa Bellear House and Little Hall through a 12-month transition to a new model for delivering Advancement.

You will take an active role in developing an Advancement plan for those Colleges that do not have one, working closely with the Director, Development and the Director of Alumni and Donor Relations, within the Advancement shared service. For those Colleges with an existing plan, you will support the transition into the new operating model.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop an Advancement strategic plan for the Colleges to align the work of the Colleges with the Advancement shared service
- Identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit prospective major gift donors in support of the Colleges philanthropic priorities
- Deliver bespoke alumni and donor engagement initiatives
- Develop positive external relationships with prospective donors, to maximise the benefits to the assigned cluster and the University
- Manage a portfolio of prospective major gift donors to raise funds

**About You**
You will have a track record in identifying, researching, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donor or customer relationships, both independently and as part of a team, while also operating successfully in a large and complex organisation.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and effectively influence to build positive relationships and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will also use your excellent conceptual and analytical skills to effectively plan processes.

You will also have:

- A post-graduate qualification, with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and/or education/training
- Extensive and demonstrated fundraising and alumni engagement experience or experience in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, sales or marketing with demonstrable experience working at a senior level to develop and execute successful strategies for business development, fundraising, sales, marketing campaigns or similar
- Working knowledge of using Advancement CRMs or other related systems
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
