**About the Role**
The University of Melbourne has set a new ambition in widening participation, aiming to attract the most talented students from all backgrounds and to remove barriers to access, equity, and success for students who have experienced disadvantage. To this end, several roles have been created including the role of** Manager, Student Access and Success**.

As the Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of enhanced and bespoke student services under a broader enrichment program that enables and brings to life the University's strategic vision for widening participation.

You will be involved in extensive collaboration with stakeholders, operational planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation. You will work closely with other managers and their teams within Student Success, across Student and Scholarly Services, and the faculties, including senior leaders within the Office of the Provost. The ultimate goal is to transform our student profile, create a vibrant and inclusive student community, and support students to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Manage the operational delivery of a range of enhanced and bespoke student enrichment services.
- Provide visible and authoritative leadership within the immediate team, across SASS and the University on student enrichment activities and the overall program.
- Champion best practices and build advocacy for widening participation across relevant student-facing services.

**Who we are looking for**
We are seeking an accomplished manager, with both passion and energy for student inclusion and experience, you will be able to demonstrate your prior record of success. You will have a background in developing and delivering operational services; from early-stage stakeholder engagement and service design through to front-line delivery and post-implementation review.

You will also have:

- Advanced communication ability; engaging and consulting with diverse stakeholders; working through influence to build constructive relationships at all levels within the organisation; as well as with external partners and stakeholders.
- Leading and implementing programs and initiatives in a complex, multi-faceted organisation; leading and inspiring teams and managing budgets
- Advanced project management skills, particularly for the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives and programs; along with a capacity to frame and solve problems with a team and/or autonomously.
- Experience within the social inclusion space, ideally in the context of education
- Highly advanced written communication skills, capable of distilling ideas and communicating these persuasively.
