**About the Role**:
Olympic Dam (OD) is considering alternative water sources to improve the sustainability and reliability of our water operations. The associated studies include input from senior BHP stakeholders, government, Traditional Owners and other third parties, and consideration of future growth scenarios at OD.

You will be supported by BHP’s processes, but you will be able to dig deep to get to the core of the problem and be able to ask challenging questions. You will balance stakeholder’s requirements and inputs, be resilient and determined and have great problem-solving skills.

**_This position is based in Adelaide with occasional site travel. We are happy to be able to consider flexibility around this role and offer full-time or part-time options._**

**In this role you will**:

- Assist in the preparation of the identification, selection and definition phase studies as directed by Study Lead
- Manage consultants and contractors undertaking design, modelling or analysis in consultation with project engineering, discipline engineering and ODAP’s functional teams to meet project package requirements.
- Develop and obtain support / approval from internal stakeholders on key project documentation and integrate functional inputs
- Review and manage project schedules, budgets and reporting, ensuring that issues are identified early and managed proactively
- Identity changes to the project plan or scope, and raise change documentation when required
- Working closely with discipline and project engineering teams to coordinate their involvement and ensure project objectives are delivered and compliance to standards are achieved.
- Capture and communicate internal lessons learned and external best practices across the project and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure project changes and decisions are clearly documented throughout the development phase and all documentation is completed and formally handed over to the delivery team
- Coordinate risk management and value optimisation activities
- Review technical reports and translate into investment related deliverables

- Be an independent thinker with the confidence to explore alternatives that challenge popular opinion
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and distil relevant findings into clear concise reports
- Collaborative and creative problem solver
- Engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to manage internal stakeholders, external consultants and contractors
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experience in a team setting managing a variety of stakeholders and projects
- Experience in a studies and project setting is desirable
