Working in partnership makes it possible to deliver the world’s most impactful projects and programmes as we turn challenge into opportunity and complexity into success.
Our capabilities include programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions.
We are majority-owned by CBRE Group, Inc., the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with our partners holding a significant minority interest. Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.
Are you ready to lead the front end of Australia's most transformative energy and natural resources projects? At Turner & Townsend, we're expanding our team of industry experts and are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Study Managers to join our Adelaide office. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable energy and resource development across the region.
This isn't just another role - it's a chance to influence strategic direction, drive innovation, and deliver high-value outcomes in a sector that's powering the world. As a Study Manager, you'll be at the heart of early-stage project development - guiding feasibility, design, and stakeholder engagement to ensure every study lays the foundation for safe, efficient, and successful project execution. You’ll utilise your client-facing position to build strong stakeholder relationships, identify potential future opportunities, and help win work.
Your role will include:
- Planning and coordinating the study function for clients across various projects.
- Engaging regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment and strategic support.
- Overseeing the compilation of Study Reports.
- Developing and managing feasibility and construction schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Identifying and managing risks; escalating concerns to leadership as needed.
- Driving continuous improvement across study standards, processes, and outcomes.
**Qualifications**
We’re looking for someone who isn’t just experienced; they’re inspired by the challenge of complex project environments. Your ability to build trust, shape proposals, and convert opportunities into successful engagements will be just as important as your technical expertise.
To be successful, you'll need to have the following:
**Essential**:
- At least 10 years of experience in delivering multidisciplinary projects from feasibility through to delivery.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong consultancy background with client-facing experience, with established networks across South Australia.
- Ability to analyse multiple, concurrent option analyses within studies.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Proven ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
**Preferred attributes**:
- Business development experience or aptitude.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Proactive, analytical thinker with strategic problem-solving skills.
- Team-orientated with strong interpersonal skills.
- Resilient and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Upholds high ethical standards and transparency.
**Additional Information**
Our inspired people share our vision and mission. We provide a great place to work, where each person has the opportunity and voice to affect change.
We want our people to succeed both in work and life. To support this we promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.
