**The opportunity**

We are looking for a Project Finance Specialist to join our Finance team based in Adelaide.

The role will be based in our Adelaide office with the option to work from home 2-3 days/week (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.

This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.

**You will**:

- Make project accounting recommendations throughout the Project Lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets and investigate any variances
- Interpret financial information to support project management and commercial decisions
- Champion data integrity and ensure accurate financial information is recorded in the ERP
- Assist with subcontractor engagements
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients
- Manage multiple projects of varying values at any given time
- Attend project-related meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials
- Articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed

Some of your experience will include:

- Previous experience working in a project environment is ideal and in an engineering consulting environment would be preferred but not essential
- We are also open to talking to a commercially savvy** **administrator keen to transition into finance
- Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and pick up new tasks quickly
