**Description**
As the Manager Insurance Quality Assurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance is delivered in our Insurance business line.
Your responsibilities will include implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance Framework and delivering the component parts across our Insurance division. This involves leading a team of Advisors and Officers while working with Senior stakeholders and peers to ensure the outcomes and deliverables meet the objectives of the Insurance Strategy.
This role is pivotal in utilising strategic insights to enhance operational performance and providing actionable insights that help identify risks and opportunities in managing the regulatory, risk, and compliance environment. Your team will also be critical to the successful delivery of our Insurance Business Plan.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Create operational plans for the team, including resource allocation, staff development, and budgets.
- Provide accurate advice on improvement opportunities for Insurance processes and controls, utilising a data-led approach.
- Meet audit and compliance objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and procedures, industry codes of practice, and legislative requirements.
- Create and execute a 12-month rolling strategic plan and program of work to continuously evolve and improve the Insurance Quality Assurance program.
- Contribute to the success of the Insurance Experience and Optimisation objectives.
- Foster a high-performing team culture to achieve excellence in quality assurance.
**About you**:
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within the Finance industry.
- Knowledge of statutory issues and relevant legislation such as Insurance Contracts Act, Privacy Principles ACC, Code of Practice.
- Experience in oversight areas, such as audit, compliance, assurance and/or risk
- Proven experience in management, leading, coaching and developing staff.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing different levels of leadership and management from Team Leaders to Senior Executives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and embed frameworks to provide structure and uplift of operational performance/compliance/capability
- Ability to find links and trends amongst multiple and varied forms of data and information, integrating facts arising from members, performance results, competitors, and the market.
