After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage and offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a positive impact on the environment.

ERA has engaged the global engineering firm, Bechtel, to support ERA as Delivery Partner for ongoing study work.

Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.

Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south-east of Darwin, the Ranger Project will lead the way in the fast-growing area of mining closures.

This is a once in a lifetime project risk role. As our **Project Risk Specialist**, you will play an important part in the ERA project delivering its agreed objectives including meeting budget and schedule targets.

The Ranger Rehabilitation Project risk management program is run in compliance with the existing ERA risk management plan. The Integrated Project Management Team will implement this plan for the areas under its control and will provide input to the wider risk registers being managed by ERA.

You will be responsible for coordinating the Integrated Project Management Team in supporting the risk program during the Feasibility Refresh Study, and the overall project delivery in the following areas:

- risk identification,
- administration and management
- risk reporting

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be based in the project’s Home Office in Brisbane, Queensland for the duration of the project. The role will also require travel to the Ranger Mine Site at Jabiru in the Northern Territory to perform the position duties during the execution phase.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver to the ERA Risk Management Plan and in line with the project baseline (project execution plan, project master schedule and budget).
- Liaise with Bechtel and customer leaders in all aspects of the ERA risk management program.
- Facilitate risk assessment workshops and monthly risk meetings.
- Ensure the review of risk activities is performed.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of risk status reports to project management.
- Mentor projects leaders in risk awareness.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide training on the risk management process and risk assessment techniques to project staff.
- Support delivery in line with the ERA risk management processes.

**About you**
- Proficiency with and solid professional work experience in project risk management, including development and facilitation of workshops.
- Academic qualification (post-secondary diploma, university degree or equivalent) in the area of project management, risk management, information systems, or a related field and relevant, professional risk management work experience.
- Competent working knowledge of computer skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge and use of risk management software. (Familiarity with Bechtel’s ARM software would be an advantage).
- Experience in leading teams and building customer relationships.
- Analytical approach to problem
