UOW Liverpool Campus has a diverse and growing student population with complex needs and challenges. There is a high proportion of students for whom English is an additional language, from culturally diverse backgrounds, are first in their family to attend university or are from a low socioeconomic environment. The campus represents a key strategic priority for UOW and are expected to expand over the next 5 years.
**About the Role**
The Learning Skills Support function is critical for providing students with the opportunity to succeed in their studies and increase retention rates. With a focus on academic preparation programs to support students to transition to study; English language and Math skills programs, targeted learning support for at-risk students and better integration with Peer Learning programs.
Learning Skills Advisers will work closely with campus, Division of Student Life, faculty and library staff to coordinate the academic support function across the Liverpool campus and ensure a nuanced approach that meets the unique needs of Liverpool students and aligns with the Student Equity and Success framework
