**Senior Product Owner**

Join our data team and play a lead role in driving the next evolution of our Data and Analytics Platforms.

In this role, you will work within different business and tech stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop and improve data and tech processes and tooling. You will develop strategy and roadmap for change initiatives including scoping, planning, budgeting, and target operating model definition. In addition, you will manage the delivery of the change initiatives independently through all phases right from recruitment to ongoing support. You’ll ensure adherence to compliance and governance requirements and drive uplift and remediation when needed, and create sustainable and innovative solutions to solve business problems that are aligned to the Banking and Financial Services’ data strategy.

As a Product Owner, you’ll bring significant hands-on experience in building, implementing and enhancing enterprise scale data and analytics platforms. You’ll possess an in-depth knowledge of big data technologies and a desire to work in a DevOps environment where you will have end-to-end accountability for developing, deploying and supporting your data assets as well as creating templates and implementation methods and standards.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- proven experience leading data and analytics platforms through change and run
- practical exposure and deep understanding of implementation aspects for a number of data warehouse solutions - including classic databases (such as Oracle, DB2 or Microsoft SQL Server), analytical appliances (such as Teradata, Vertica or Netezza) and modern Cloud-based PaaS solutions (such as BigQuery or Snowflake)
- Ability to implement, enhance and rollout out Data related tooling (e.g. Self-Serve Tooling, Data Quality, Lineage, Cataloguing) across the organisation.
- Ability to drive data change programmes across a large enterprise.
- a structured approach to problem solving and an ability to critically assess a range of data points to identify the true root cause of issues and to design viable solutions
- proven track record of successful team management (direct, virtual).
- ability to manage your own time and of others effectively to meet project deadlines.
- outstanding communication, top-notch stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with people.
- applied understanding of tech obsolescence, data governance regulatory compliance, security and privacy requirements, with a view to addressing them in a timely manner.
- strong level of commercial/business acumen, with a strong focus on business improvement; including a proven ability to lead projects to improve financial performance.
