Product Owner (Delivery):

The Product Owner is accountable for delivery and responsible for deploying risk technology solutions that support the group. They engage stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and move at speed using excellent judgment to balance delivery versus risk. They are also responsible for uplifting the capability of other Product Owners and ensuring PACE principles are embedded across squads.

The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 risk team supporting CBA in maturing its risk culture and maintaining strong risk practices.

Technology CCO provides end-to-end risk advice and guidance, supporting delivery teams across CommBank in developing and operating solutions ranging from innovative product platforms to essential business tools.

Do work that matters:

This role leads a squad delivering multiple project streams within the Accelerated Controls Assurance Automation Program (ACAA), which aims to automate activities related to IT General Control effectiveness, primarily using ServiceNow Integrated Risk Module, AWS technologies, and AI.

Excellent judgment is required to navigate a complex environment, balancing speed and delivery risks. Stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills are essential as our outcomes impact the entire organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing large and complex work streams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Managing relationships and communication with stakeholders, including end users and cross-BU teams.
  • Supporting the team to plan and structure the program, incorporating DevSecOps and Agile development skills.
  • Preparing robust project plans to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Contributing to the capability uplift of TCCO and coaching other Product Owners.
  • Participating in the development of the Product Owner chapter.
  • Evaluating and improving delivery processes and methodologies.

  • Advanced governance and reporting skills, with knowledge of delivery lifecycle methodologies.
