Job Description Summary

Exciting Opportunity for a Project Finance Coordinator to join our Telecommunications Finance Team
About the Role

The primary focus of this role is on invoicing and liaising with the client on invoicing queries with a secondary focus on assisting with finance system maintenance and ad hoc accounts payable and financial analysis tasks. The role plays a key part in the invoicing process for the Optus Megalodon Wireless program, by supporting the Optus Megalodon Finance Manager with a dotted line to the National Invoicing Team Leader to ensure that invoicing is timely and accurate so as to minimize work in progress (unbilled revenue). In addition, the role supports finance system maintenance tasks and will support the Optus Megalodon Finance Manager with financial analysis and assist in driving financial processes and targets.

Invoicing
- Ensure all documentation is provided for invoicing to client in a timely and accurate manner;
- Develop positive relationships with commercial and regional project teams to ensure timely flow of information to facilitate invoicing;
- Ensure all sites are fully invoiced within contractual timeframes
- Ensure that any disputed invoices are escalated to the appropriate region for action and follow up to ensure timely resolution;
- Be the key contact for the client for invoicing queries
- Review client program financial reports on a regular basis to identify: Sites that have been completed a considerable time ago without invoicing; Items that could be invoiced; Sites where margins (high or low) indicate data errors within the system that need correction, variations that have not been passed to the client; and/or Program slippage that will negatively impact margin.
- Review Project Reports to ensure all invoicing milestones are claimed and claimed appropriately in the system;
- Continually evaluate and assist the Finance Manager to improve the billing process;
- Measure and monitor billing performance during the month

Finance System Maintenance & Support
- Uploading of cost center files into the GL
- Assist with ad hoc accounts payable tasks
- Assist as necessary in the month end Finance processes including system closes, forecasts, reconciliations, or reporting.
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks as they arise
