With a significant pipeline of opportunities identified across the Transport and Technology sectors, UGL are seeking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to be responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities on the Gippsland Line Upgrade Rail Project. This role requires a solid level of accuracy and agility and the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Be the initial point of contact for project personnel with regards to document control and document management.
- Develop effective, professional, and proactive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Managing Document Management system - Teambinder
- Maintaining document and Drawing Register
- Transmitting of all Design documents and keeping record
- Maintaining RFI Register
- Working with Safety and construction Teams
- Create and Implement Document Control Procedures
- Work Directly with the Design and Construction team to Support day to day document control requirements.
- Create Work packs for the constructions team and Maintenance of the construction folder
- Send weekly updates to the Design and Construction Team on document status
- Formatting of documents to ensure the formats are correct
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements.
- Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Senior Document Controller
**To be a success in this role you will have**:
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and administrative systems
- Competent administration and organisational skills relating to the key responsibility areas
- Experience working as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in Team Binder
- Expert written and verbal communication.
- 2- 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a project-based environment
