**About the team**
This role sits in the Safety, Environment and Regulation Division within the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management (SCEM) branch. SCEM’s main purpose and responsibility is to enable all transport divisions to protect our people, our customers, our assets and the continued delivery of essential services for the people of NSW. SCEM aligns to the Safety, Environment and Regulation responsibility for connecting lives through safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions.
**The opportunity**
We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Manager Strategic, Security Resilience
to join the SCEM Branch within SER.
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer and working across and liaising with the broader business, the primary purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate a range of strategic security resilience activities at the enterprise level (multimodal) to ensure appropriate levels of planning, risk mitigation controls and security preparedness exists across Transport, to best position our partners and operators.
As Manager Strategic Security Resilience, you will be required to:
- Identify strategic level security risks and standards priorities for transport and integrating the security needs of the various operating agencies to ensure a coordinated multimodal preparedness capability across transport with regards to physical security requirements.
- Build professional working relationships with stakeholders and operating agencies to enable the achievement of emergency preparedness and operations
- Remain abreast of current and emerging best practice including state, national and international standards
- Assist the SCEM Security Assurance team as required, with the ongoing formation of security related exercises, designed to test preparedness and response, systems and operating procedures, with relevant key internal/external agencies against specific security management plans or broarder counter terrorism arrangements.
The team are currently working in a hybrid model and work is a mixture of working from home, on site, and at our offices at Macquarie Park as required

**About you**
- You have appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience in a similar role
- You will have experience in operational strategic security and governance management
- You will meet Australian Government Security Vetting Agency requirements and be able to maintain a minimum NV1 security vetting clearance
- Perform the role of the SCEM Manager ‘on call’ function as required.
- Be a natural problem solver and have strong research and analytical skills and can critically suggest solutions
- You work well in a team and autonomously, and have strong report writing skills, prioritisation and time management skills to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- You will have experience managing people as this role has two direct reports
- You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills as stakeholder engagement and collaboration is critical
- You will have a strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the wider Transport group as well as influencing and engaging effectively with stakeholders
**Salary and Benefits**
