**Join our Disaster Resilience Unit as a Planning Officer today**

This unit provides guidance and coordination in relation to the management and response to the implementation and maintenance of Emergency Management, Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Security Services Management arrangements within SALHN divisions and Services. This role works across three sites, supporting planning within the disaster resilience unit of SALHN responsible for fire safety, security, emergency management and business continuity.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Director of SALHN Disaster Resilience Unit and the Chief Operating Unit, this role will provide support to the development, implementation and monitoring of the SALHN Disaster Resilience Framework.

Duties for the role may include:

- Engage and consult with relevant stakeholders to support all stages of Disaster Resilience Unit planning
- Preparation plans and documents, following endorsed planning frameworks and processes
- Utilising sound project management skills and methodologies to lead the design, conduct and management of projects of significant scope, complexity and sensitivity and which aim to deliver improvement in disaster management activities
- Support the development, analysis, implementation, measurement and evaluation of Disaster Management frameworks including formulating strategies to address challenges and gaps, in consultation with identified stakeholders

**About you**:

- Proven ability to provide leadership in the development of disaster resilience planning to a professional standard, and to work with mínimal direction and supervision and ensuring deadlines are met
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and purposefully, both verbally and written, including highly developed, succinct and conceptually sound report writing ability
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, including the preparation, implementation and evaluation of policies, strategic plans and strategies dealing with disaster resilience activities
- Extensive experience working within health care systems, with a particular understanding of emergency management
