**How will I help?**

Financial Markets, a vital division that specialises in providing derivatives products to support our customers while assisting the Group’s Treasury function in managing Westpac’s funding risks. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join us as the Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring.

The Manager, BCM will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Manager - Control Execution across various aspects of regulatory control and risk management. This role involves performing essential regulatory controls on behalf of the Financial Markets franchise, ensuring compliance with regulations such as CFTC and APRA. In this role you'll proactively seek opportunities to enhance existing controls and develop key risk/control indicators. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting the effective implementation of business processes resulting from regulatory changes. This will require close collaboration with the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) team, business units, and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

- Execute key regulatory controls for the Financial Markets franchise, including CFTC and APRA regulations.
- Identify and drive opportunities to enhance existing controls and develop essential risk/control indicators.
- Collaborate with the 1LoD team, business units, and project stakeholders to implement business processes in response to regulatory changes.
- Provide input and expertise on global derivatives regulations, operational processes, and associated business impacts.

**What do I need?**

You'll possess a minimum of 3 years' experience, in Operational Risk or Audit with a strong understanding of the complete value chain of Financial Markets is considered desirable, showcasing your comprehensive grasp of the industry's intricacies. Sound understanding of Global Derivative Reform regulations is also desirable. Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders within financial institutions or large corporations is crucial, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex organisational environments. Your proven aptitude for engaging and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders further enhances your suitability for this role.
