Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring

**How will I help?**

This role plays a leading role in implementing and managing risk management and monitoring obligations in the Mortgages line of business, supporting consistent implementation, and embedding of risk management framework, policies and controls.

This role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders on all matters risk and control, developing pragmatic solutions to risk and control problems through to end to end implementation.

It is an expectation of this role to support a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.

Responsibilities include:
Embedding Risk Framework:

- As part of a team of risk professionals contribute to ensuring the Mortgages LOB operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Division and Group. Key policies include, but are not limited to, the Risk and Control Assessment Policy, and Issue and Action Management Policy.
- Support the business to drive a strong risk culture and awareness in day-to-day business decisions and business strategic initiatives.

Managing Risk outcomes:

- Oversee Control Self-Assessments (CSAs) on behalf of the Mortgages LOB, testing controls in the context of the Mortgages Value Chain, and controls supporting the Divisional Risk Profile.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigation across thematic issues, and support the CBB BCM Hub team to identify insights, recommend practical solutions and share lessons learned impacting other LOBs or Divisions.

**Stakeholder Management and Communication**:

- Provide coaching and support to stakeholders in undertaking efficient and effective risk practices within their business in relation to controls and issue management
- Act as a central point of contact for engagement with respective BCM teams (Divisional Hub and LOB), including issues and controls oversight teams.
