Lead and coordinate the provision of high-quality technical accessibility advice to business partners across the organisation.

The role of Principal Advisor is to lead and coordinate the provision of high-quality technical accessibility advice to business partners across the organisation that aligns with the requirements of federal and state legislation applicable to the provision of accessible public transport, whilst balancing conceptual and innovation solutions.

**Specific responsibilities include**:
Exercise professional autonomy in addressing and resolving complex issues as they relate to the provision of accessible service and form part of an integrated public transport system.
Lead the development and maintenance of an online Accessibility Resource Centre that is underpinned by the principles of universal design and best practice accessibility standards and guidelines, to support the organisation in building capacity to plan, delivery and operate an accessible world-class infrastructure service.
Lead the production of high-quality technical training resources on the planning, delivery and operation of accessible service, including but not limited to training videos, training modules, tool kits and other tactics as identified.
Liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally to research and analyse emerging technologies and innovations in providing accessible service.
Actively participate and support engagement activities with the disability sector to ensure early and genuine engagement, providing high quality technical accessibility advice.
High level of skill in conceptual and innovative problem solving. Highly skilled in identifying the underlying cause of issues through considered analysis and integration of various pieces of data and the insight to develop effective solutions.
Extensive knowledge in the planning and design of the built environment, relevant to the provision of accessible public transport.
Extensive knowledge and experience in program management principles, practices and techniques for projects and programs that are client based in planning and development phase.
