**The Role**
Defence Single Access Mechanism (SAM) is a business unit within the Joint Transition Authority Branch which is the key entry point for the provision of Defence held records and information to Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
As a team lead, you will draw on your excellent personnel management, administrative decision making and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the SAM function delivers outcomes aligned to enterprise performance and inter agency agreements. This role is responsible for:
Effectively managing a team with clear communication style that builds trust, promotes teamwork and encourages collaboration and open dialogue.
Pro-actively monitor your team’s performance, building a strong understanding of your team members’ capabilities. Provide effective and timely feedback and coaching to enhance productivity and address any performance gaps. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals.
**About our Team**
The SAM function is governed by a Memorandum of Understanding between Defence and DVA for the Cooperative Delivery of Care and Support to current and ex-serving ADF members. It maintains a similar relationship with CSC through a formal interagency agreement.
- Experience in leading a team to deliver successful outcomes.
- Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a changing environment, remaining agile in supporting emerging priorities.
