As a Health & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll join Urban Utilities’ Risk & Resilience Group, driving impactful initiatives that align with our purpose to enrich quality of life and Urban Utilities’ vision to enhance the liveability of our communities. You’ll work at the heart of our health, safety, and wellbeing strategy, empowering our teams to thrive.

The Role:
Reporting to the Health & Wellbeing Manager, you’ll provide expert technical advice and support to internal stakeholders, fostering a workplace where people feel safe and supported with leading practice health and wellbeing principles and concepts.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the implementation and delivery of the health and wellbeing strategy, systems, support services and proactive programs that improve workplace health (physical and psychological) and reduce health & wellbeing risks.- Case managing a diverse range of both work related and non-work related injuries and illnesses, including Workers’ Compensation. This will require proactive and regular engagement with injured/ill employees, their line leaders and treatment team.- Contributing to and championing programs of work and initiatives to enhance work design and workplace ergonomics, reduce musculoskeletal risks, mitigate psychosocial hazards, and collaborate with key service providers and stakeholders for optimal health outcomes.- Coaching and guiding internal stakeholders, embedding health management risk reduction, and supporting the mitigation of risk exposures relating to work design and practices.- Supporting the health and wellbeing governance and reporting requirements to inform senior management and engagement with stakeholders, ensuring that our programs meet high standards and deliver measurable results.

About You:
- A health science or occupational health related degree (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology etc) equips you with the foundation to work in this space.- You bring technical expertise in health and wellbeing, with practical knowledge of relevant legislation, including Queensland’s Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act.- You’ve honed your skills with demonstrated experience in occupational health and preferably high-risk industries, navigating complex challenges and cases with confidence and care.
