The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_What you’ll be doing_**
The primary purpose of the Project Officer, Grants is to coordinate, execute, implement, and support the operations, monitoring, and evaluation of the Cancer Institute's grant schemes and to facilitate the effective delivery of programs and projects in line with Divisional and Institute objectives.
As the Project Officer, Grants, you will lead the administration and coordination of community-based grant schemes, supporting initiatives that drive cancer prevention, awareness, and care within diverse communities. You will ensure that these programs are executed efficiently and comply with governance and reporting standards, delivering measurable community impact.
In this fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with local stakeholders, community organizations, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of community-focused projects.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and report on project outcomes, tracking performance, addressing challenges, and ensuring milestones are met within budget and timeframes.
- Collaborate with community organizations, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring that funded programs support key cancer prevention, care, and education objectives.
- Use grant management tools to maintain accurate records, track community outcomes, and produce clear, transparent reports for stakeholders and funders.
**_Remuneration/Benefits_**_/_
In addition to base salary:
- 11.5% superannuation
- 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)
- 10 days sick leave
- 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

**_Essential requirements_**
- Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent and relevant professional experience and training.
- An understanding of the NSW and or federal health system including a knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies, and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver and meet project objectives and requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
