They are a team of professionals, all of whom have a heart for the charitable sector and the multitude of causes that their charity partners exist to support. All of their services are customised to ensure that a relevant and strategic approach is applied to grant-seeking activities. This includes their grants database, GEMS (Grants Expertise Management System), an always current Grants Calendar that enables simplified, yet customised, grants prospecting.Reporting to the GEMS Manager, this role will conduct research and assist with the development of the initial building of customer’s Grants Calendars in the GEM Portal, including initial prospect research against funding needs. The Research and Customer Support Coordinator will also support Client Managers for prospect research and responding to customer enquiries around grants and funding.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and collaborative team and to use your research, data entry and reporting skills to make an impact for non-profits. Your knowledge of diverse non-profits and grant-makers will grow as you research and learn about each organisation and their inspirational causes, projects and impact. You will maintain information in the database, including updating and entering new grant and funder details, as well as conduct research and contact funders where appropriate to obtain relevant grant information. You will prepare and assist with the review of high quality, customised grants calendars and prospect lists for Client Managers. You enjoy being proactive in identifying systems and process improvements and will then work with the GEMS Manager to support implementation of these.
About YOU
- Demonstrated understanding of research principles and experience in undertaking research across various mediums including desktop research, plus an ability to build positive working relationships,
- Experience in data entry and reporting and strong attention to detail,
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships,
- Effective time management and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines,
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat,
- An effective team player with personal initiative and self-motivation and capacity to work autonomously,
- Experience or understanding of fundraising and the non-profit sector in Australia and/or New Zealand will be favourably regarded.
