**Your new role**
The branch of the agency you will join is the Technical Advisory Branch, which is part of the Operations and Support Division. You will participate as a member of a team with delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities; including providing clinical and operational advice in relation to complex cases and support requests from participants. These requests will be allocated to an advisory, and when required clinical review of care plans and sound clinical advice will be requested from you. You will have reasonable autonomy and accountability regarding clinical experience, initiative and interpretation of legislation and policy regarding disability services. Other duties may include:

- Managing complex and sensitive conversations and situations associated with approval of funding.
- Liaising and working with stakeholders, delegates, partners and providers to ensure consistent decision making and outcome achievement.
- Supporting staff conducting internal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal review of decisions.
- Providing high quality written and telephone advice and record keeping.

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Tertiary Qualifications as an Occupational Therapist (mental health/complex)/Speech Pathology/Physiotherapy or Specialists Behavioural Support Practitioners.
- Registration with AHPRA or AASW relevant to your qualification.
- Experience providing details and accurate notation around complex psycho-social treatment/care plans.
- Ability to manage contentious and confronting or complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Advanced experience working in a clinical setting with mental health, disability or complex needs clients.
