Formerly St. George Special Industries and transitioning into the Intellectual Disability Foundation of St. George in 1988, the IDF provides quality and compassionate supported employment to people with Intellectual Disabilities in St. George and its surrounds. Our mission is to provide the facilities and environment to care for people with intellectual disabilities to live healthy, happy, and fulfilled lives.

We provide on-the-job training and support, personal development in a safe environment, building confidence, and developing independence. We have links to Open Employment providers and provide training to NDIS participants.

You have an interest in the flourishing of people with Intellectual Disabilities to perform meaningful work, gain real-world skills, and live fulfilled lives.

The role of the Day Programs Manager is to manage, facilitate and provide a quality, safe service of person-centred support to all participants in our day programs. The Day Programs Manager will also develop and manage all IDF non-work programs. The Day Programs Manager will promote and grow our day programs within our current cohort and externally.

The Day Programs Manager will also act as Site Manager at our Arncliffe site.

Success in this role looks like
- Promotion and Induction of Participants: develop and execute plans to promote any current or new non-work programs at IDF

Responsible for the recruitment and induction of day programs staff
- Management of direct reports and overseeing the supervision of all staff at day programs
- Ensure that all participants are supported in line with NDIS Quality & Safeguard Commission Guidelines.
- Ensure participant-to-staff ratios are in line with service agreements.
- All monies received to be receipted and petty cash procedure followed.

**Essential**
- Appropriate qualifications Certificate 1V or higher in Disability Support or other welfare equivalent area.
- At least 3 years of experience in the disability field.
- Exceptional communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to create programs and promote within and beyond IDF
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
- Work independently but also work with and support a team environment.
- First Aid or willing to obtain.
- Commitment to NDIS Quality & Safeguards Guidelines
- Current drivers licence
- Current Police Check
- NDIS worker screen
- Management/coordination qualifications and/or experience in a service management role.
