Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) works to promote high standards of medical sonography in Australia, including through delivery of a national registry for accredited sonographers and student sonographers; accrediting sonography education programs within Australia; establishing and maintaining minimum standards of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for accredited sonographers; and other activities that advance the profession of sonography.

ASAR is seeking an Operations Manager to join its team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will provide leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of ASAR and its employees.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
Offering a 12-month fixed term contract with the option of working.7 or.8 this role is based in Wayville with on-site parking provided. The focus of this role is to ensure excellent internal procedures within the operations of the office are implemented to cover all core business critical functions. Duties include:

- Ensure ASAR’s core services are delivered to the required standard of accuracy specified in ASAR’s Strategic Plan 2021-2026 and within the established schedule of activity.
- Provide secretariat services and logístical support to the Board in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Ensure the effective delivery of secretariat support to the Board’s sub-committees in conjunction with other staff.
- Lead ASAR’s compliance with relevant quality standards and other obligations identified as relevant by the General Manager.
- Manage the effective administration of processes associated with ASAR’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) audit and the accreditation of courses.

**Skills and experience**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification, e.g. management, business, human resources, legal.
- Demonstrated proficiency in people management.
- Outstanding database management skills, including the development and preparation of reports and operating procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experiencing in writing reports for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Excellent ICT skills, including high levels of proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Experience in preparing for quality assessment and accreditation processes.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and an ability to effectively grasp the context in which operating decisions are made.
