We are looking for an experienced Capacity and Availability Manager to join the Adelaide team. The Capacity and Availability Manager is a key process role defined under the ITIL framework and in this role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to optimizing the delivery of IT infrastructure On premise and Cloud and related services to ensure that system availability achieves the Client objectives. The Capacity and Availability Manager will consult on recommendations for Clients and Account management and must be prepared to respond to Client enquires, issues and assist with capacity assessments and any other standard capacity management activities.

The Capacity and Availability Manager is also responsible for ensuring deliverables, plans and reports are produced and meet agreed delivery commitments. This includes ensuring capacity data is captured and data is available for reporting for all in scope configuration items.

**_ In more specific terms, you will:_**
- Ensure the Capacity Management and where applicable Capacity Planning processes are in place and followed
- Providing leadership and high-quality support in all phases of capacity management activities.
- Represent the Capacity Management team during project and business planning meetings with other capability teams and the Client, to ensure that the standard DXC Capacity Management Service Offerings are implemented and where agreed with the Account extended to meet Client requirements.
- Be accountable for the deployment, review and audit of the Availability Management process and associated methods and techniques
- Provide leadership and high-quality support in all phases of availability management activities.
- Monitor actual Availability achieved versus targets and ensure issues are identified and improvement actions defined and implemented
- Produce and maintain an Availability Plan (where applicable)
- Determine the Availability requirements from the business for new or enhanced IT Services
- Ensure the levels of IT Availability required met business requires and are cost justified
- Establish measures and reporting that reflect business, user and IT support requirements
- Promote Availability Management awareness and understanding within the IT support organization
- Provide availability management consultation and leadership to the Client and internal stakeholders regarding availability related issues
- Accountable for managing the service exposure process (Risk Management) to ensure all risks to the delivery of services are identified, documented and actions assigned to mitigate or accept the risk
- Produce plans/reports on in scope configuration items for assigned clients throughout the APJ Region and report in a timely manner to the relevant parties.
- Be an active and proactive member of the Availability Management Team, and contribute to its success
- Escalate any issues relating to service risk or Client dissatisfaction
- Provide ITIL support across multiple processes e.g. Capacity Management where required
- Actively participates in Regional and/or Global Availability Management forums and client and Account level meetings and appropriate reporting

**_ Experience Required_**
- Previous Capacity Management experience either directly in a Capacity role or via a technical Capability team is desirable.
- ITIL V3 certification and/ or sound experience working within an ITIL environment
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in outsourced/multi-sourced IT environments
- Demonstrable experience in leading and influencing multiple internal and external stakeholders (managers, customers and vendors)
- Up to date knowledge across emerging technologies and IT best practices
- Sound knowledge of Risk and Vulnerability management
- Well-developed adaptive problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prepare clear, concise and persuasive communications for multiple audiences, including demonstrating effective writing and presentation skills
- Ability to read contracts and statements of works (SOW) documents and determine business requirements

Whilst not essential, understanding of cloud, VMware, networking, security and firewalls will be well regarded.
