
Fleet Coordinator

Roles and Responsibilities- Cost efficient and effective allocation of multidrop deliveries to allocated PUD vehicles within zone.- Ensure all freight due for delivery is loaded on due date- Ensure all operational documentation is checked & competed accurately and promptly.- Maintain a high standard of morale, initiative, and image with drivers.- To be conversant and always ensure adherence to all company, HSE policies and procedures.- Create and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers & operational staff.- Ensure customers special requirements are met.- Maintain & update documentation / records of work performed for recharge.- Minimise the use of outside hire by the effective planning of P.U.D. drivers and equipment.- Daily absence and leave planning.- Daily communication and interaction with AM Operations Supervisors and Fleet Controllers to ensure equipment utilisation is maximised for both deliveries and pickups.- Daily supervision of allocated rigid fleet activity to coordinate multidrop deliveries- Daily communication with drivers prior to depot departure to ensure delivery instructions are fully understood and adhered to.- Daily checking of driver worksheets to ensure they are completed correctly and in full as per company policy and requirements.- To provide management with daily updates and feedback on issues affecting the P.U.D. fleet and any customer operational issues.- To ensure all drivers and contractors, OSH carriers are compliant with all company and legislative requirements regarding load restraint, NHVL, fatigue requirements.- Ensuring all required zone reporting is completed daily / weekly.- Manage pallet control process for respective zone.- Other duties as deemed necessary by Management, day to day.- Dangerous Goods knowledge.- Good geographical knowledge of Melbourne metropolitan area.- Working knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety legislation.- Time Management.- Road Legislation knowledge.- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.- Safety conscious individual- Maintain standards and disciplines of Team Global Express.- Literacy and numeracy skills.- Personable telephone manner.- Intermediate computer literacy - MS Office, Outlook, Internal software- To work in partnership with other internal departments.- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner.- Ability to work unsupervised and think independently and ‘outside the square- Team player- Excellent communication
