**Overall Purpose of the Job**

To manage and plan the pickup/delivery resources of the TGE Palletised Express Branch located at Altona North. The role will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Supervisors / Fleet Manager to ensure the safety, operational and financial performance of the transport operation. The overall performance will be dependent on the Fleet Controller maintaining systems and standards to ensure compliance with the TGE way.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate driver workforce planning and execute the day-to-day pickup/delivery tasks and maintaining customer expected DIFOT
- Support the operation on a day-to-day basis by making operational decisions based on the overall business objectives and coordinating available resources to ensure cost effectiveness
- Learn other functions of the fleet office to support the TGE Palletised Express Fleet team when others are absent
- Ensure all staff on site are appropriately inducted and trained by coordinating with the onsite compliance coordinator to ensure all staff have been trained appropriately before commencing duties
- Co-ordinate with other fleet controllers, general pickups and delivery requirements on an ADHOC basis with OSH partners
- Ensure that all administration systems, procedures and policies are understood and followed so as to ensure integrity of the financial reporting system and protection of the Company’s legal/financial and statutory position.
- Be responsible for providing daily reporting to TGE Intermodal customer base regarding delivery/pickup performance
- Maintain a basic understanding and working knowledge of all legislative compliance requirements (inclusive of environmental) that impact the business (training will provided where required)
- Ensure that site WHS is adhered to by conducting regular safety conversations, toolbox meeting, identifying and escalating hazards
- Ensuring appropriate use of driver TDA units to accurately track driver fatigue and movements
- Incident Management System - ensure preliminary incident reporting is entered in TRAC within a 24 hour period and escalated appropriately
- Work closely with the Fleet Supervisors / Manager to ensure service issues are rectified in a timely manner and provide support to the customer where required to ensure strong execution of service.
