First Nations Talent Acquisition Lead

**The opportunity**
We’re on the lookout for a First Nations Talent Acquisition Lead to join our People team on a permanent full-time basis.
This is a hybrid role and will ideally be based in Sydney, but we are open to applicants who are outside this area (with some travel required).
This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Bupa considers that being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under s 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
**How will I help?**
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy aimed at attracting First Nations talent across all levels.
- Collaborate with leadership to understand workforce needs and align recruitment practices with business objectives.
- Design and lead initiatives that support the hiring and retention of First Nations employees
- Build and maintain relationships with external employment partners.
- Lead and manage a small team
- Raise awareness and understanding of First Nations cultures within the organisation
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to generate support for the strategy
- Engage with community leaders and organisations to support employment initiatives

**What do I need?**
- This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will rely heavily on your knowledge and relationships with First Nations communities.
- Experience of the end-to-end talent acquisition process
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- An ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong cultural competencies, experienced in advising and creating First Nations cultural protocols
- A strategic thinker with commercial focus and demonstrated influencing skills
- People leadership experience is preferred
