If so, the Defence Intelligence Group (DIG) might be the next step in your career. The Assistant Director Futures and Innovation role is a new role within the DIG, Intelligence Capability Division (ICD). As an Intelligence Assessment Manager in ICD you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex intelligence related work within an integrated workforce. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence in leading a Futures and Innovation team, responsible for assessing and recommending a spectrum of requirements that will inform the delivery of future Defence intelligence capability. You will implement work plans aligned to strategic objectives and actively manage strong interactive relationships. Stakeholder engagement is a critical part of the role where you will need to work across Defence, the National Intelligence Community, Industry, Academia and other Defence and diplomatic partnerships to develop and maintain a holistic and contemporary understanding of future Defence Intelligence Enterprise capability requirements.

Working closely with all Organisations and Divisions with the DIG, the Futures and Innovation Team provides the necessary assessment and recommendation of requirements that will directly enable the delivery of future Defence intelligence capability. The Futures and Innovation Team's outputs inform future intelligence capability programs, workforce capability, and the development of learning, technologies and innovation to enable the DIG to maintain the strategic edge through a highly trained and well prepared force.
