**The Role**
In this role within the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Maritime Systems Program Office (EWIS M-SPO), you will be supporting the sustainment and refreshment of a diverse range of maritime sensor and effector products. This includes shipborne electronic surveillance sensor suites, anti-ship missile defence systems and mission data development and validation infrastructure.
As the EL1 Governance Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Planning, leading and managing the development, implementation and maintenance of project governance related activities.
- Providing financial management support, budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting.
- Managing financial government requirements and ensuring compliance with the financial management framework.
- Assessing and evaluating scheduling activities against critical factors and recommending continuous improvements.
- Ensuring accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements.
- Generating and maintaining systems that measure quality performance and compliance against established standards.
- Actively managing key stakeholder relationships and identifying relevant stakeholder expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.
- Managing and leading a team, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
**About our Team**
EWIS M-SPO currently manages a number of electronic warfare systems fitted to both the surface and sub-surface fleet, such as the Nulka Decoy product and various sensors and electronic attack products in both acquisition and sustainment phases. The M-SPO delivers these capabilities to both the Australian Defence Force and United States Navy.
The SPO is widely dispersed across Australia with this position based at Russell, ACT. The successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, military and contractor staff, to ensure the supported Electronic Warfare capabilities are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with operational and compliance requirements, budget, and service agreements.
- An in depth knowledge of Defence’s governance function and financial processes, procedures and policies.

- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
