As a Creations Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Creations Team (Flavourists and Research Scientists) prepare flavour samples, take part in flavour evaluations and testing, whilst ensuring that the lab is well maintained (stocked, organised, orderly as per business requirements and EH&S guildelines).

**Core Responsibilities**

Flavour Preparation & Evaluation
- Act as the main point of contact to provide timely flavour samples for other labs and functions within the Technical Team
- Maintain all required formula records and brief documentation in company database software
- Maintain organised and updated stock of raw materials in the lab
- Participate in the evaluation of raw materials, new technology and flavours in food products
- Ability to assist in documenting findings and creating reports

Environmental Health & Safety
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EH&S guidelines and good laboratory practices

**Technical Skills**
- Degree or related degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrated understanding of research documentation protocol
- Knowledge of lab equipment and procedures for handling chemicals used to perform lab functions
- Demonstrate understanding of importance of safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines / requirements in a lab environment
- Ability to accurately prepare flavours in a timely manner
- Assist with product evaluations and sensory tests
- Strong tasting skills and ability to effectively describe the profile of the flavour or ingredient
