**The Role**
As an APS5 Ministerial Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting ministerial and parliamentary tasks and outcomes, including following up on tasks to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met.
You will develop a strategic awareness of the impact and implications of ministerial and parliamentary business to Security and Estate Group and more broadly Defence and whole-of-government.
You will thrive on using your initiative to identify and solve problems using your professional knowledge and experience and you will proactively identify and develop ideas and analyse alternative courses of action and their implications.
**About our Team**
The Security and Estate Coordination team sits within the Office of Deputy Secretary SEG. We are led by the Director of Governance and Coordination who reports directly to the Deputy Secretary.
The team consists of a Director, an Assistant Director, a Senior Coordination Officer and a Coordination Officer. You will have opportunities to cross skill into the Governance stream and learn about Defence Committees and Statutory Reporting processes.
Attention to detail is another key attribute that will ensure success in a coordination role. Making sure that ministerial standards are adhered to in complex briefing material will set you up for success.
We would like someone with PDMS experience, but this can be learned on the job and is not a pre-requisite.
