**The Role**
- Manage and coordinate direct liaison with relevant multinational strategic organisations (e.g. FVEYS community, US Joint Staff, etc.) to enhance Defence understanding of current and emerging military-strategic operations, actions, or activities.
- Manage and coordinate direct liaison with relevant (national) operational and strategic agencies (e.g. IPDiv, SPDiv, HQJOC, DIO, DFAT, etc.) to both propose and determine future Defence contributions to multinational actions or activities.
- In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, draft guidance and advice, based on strategic Defence policy and strategic intent, to enhance strategic-level guidance and action.
- On behalf of Director Strategic Effects and Targeting, draft briefing materials, reports, ministerial correspondence, policy and planning documents and other relevant documents in support of MSE.
- Manage and support arrangements for divisional representation at senior departmental or interdepartmental committees, and support senior attendance at Whole of Government and international meetings.

**About our Team**
The Military Strategic Effects (MSE) team provides a critical function within Military Strategic Commitments Division and ADF Headquarters.

MSE Branch provides support to the operational and strategic levels through preparation of strategic information activities, engagement and strategic targeting support. This enables management of strategic and reputational issues in order for Defence Senior Leaders to appropriately engage with government, other agencies, allies, coalition partners and also the Australian and international communities.

Key functions performed by MSE Branch are:

- Management of strategic effects and targeting for Defence senior leadership.
- Coordination of a range of multilateral military-military engagement on behalf of Defence senior leadership.
- Development of information activities strategies and guidance to support management of strategic-level issues for Operations and ADF-wide reputational matters.
- Coordination and synchronisation of information activities across Joint agencies and Whole of Defence for Operations and ADF-wide reputational matters.
- Management of the ADF Parliamentary Program.
