
Gis & Spatial Services Lead

**Main responsibilities**
- Leadership, development and expansion of the Australian national geospatial capability and the team of GIS practitioners
- Coordination and provision of geospatial specialist support for projects across the ERM national accounts, including participating in and conducting client facing activities
- Coordinate and deliver GIS specialist projects
- Development of new products and solutions across spatial data assimilation, transformation, visualisation, automation and analysis for clients across the national portfolio
- Work closely with the ERM data operations group to develop and maintain internal spatial data management best practices
- Development and evolution of standardised templates, workflows, data deliverables and spatial data governance practices
- Participate in training, guidance and mentorship for internal GIS practitioners and the broader ERM technical community
- Participate in and support technically oriented business development processes including proposal writing and preparation of method statements.
- Grow and evolve the ERM spatial data services offering
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Assign and complete work assignments in accordance with ERM's management system, format and quality standards.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- BSc or Master’s degree in GIS related discipline
- 10+ years of experience
- advanced working knowledge and experience in market leading GIS software suites
- Experience in leading and coordinating a team that provides high quality GIS products and services using the full ESRI software suite
- Experience in developing and deploying web GIS and hosted services is mandatory
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, Azure, Power Platform and relational databases
- Experience in GIS across one or more of contaminated land, environmental planning, assessment and approvals, air quality, mergers and acquisitions, ecological surveys, bushfire planning and infrastructure projects highly desirable
- Experience in one or more of EQuIS, Power BI, FME, Earth Volumetric Studio, QGIS, REST API development, Python and Javascript would be highly beneficial. Experience in FME would be particularly beneficial
- Highly effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and works independently with mínimal supervision.
- Exceptional teamwork and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build consensus and drive collaboration between diverse teams.
- Previous consulting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- High appreciation and understanding of Health & Safety standards
