**The Company**:
Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead an already established and high performing team to elevate their Supply Chain strategy across the business operations.
Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, this newly created position will take responsibility for every stage of the demand and supply requirements.
**The Role**:
- Manage the supply chain function including demand forecasting, supply planning & inventory management.
- Replenishment of raw materials and packaging to planning and scheduling production of the finished product to dispatch.
- Manage planning; purchasing and inventory to ensure that service levels are met/exceeded, costs are managed, and the process is optimal while maintaining a safe environment.
- Work closely with all divisions within the business to ensure KPI’s are met.
- Manage all domestic and international activities from suppliers and work closely to reduce lead times where possible, consolidate orders, improve service levels, and reduce cost.
- Manage inventory activities including management of the replenishment system to ensure visibility and availability to the operations.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts to mitigate risk due to long lead times from overseas suppliers.
- Create metrics and develop reporting on KPI’s such as DIFOT & inventory levels.
**Your Background**
- Tertiary qualified ideally.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience managing supply chain activities within FMCG, food production
- A natural leader experienced in developing and mentoring successful teams.
- A thorough understanding of demand and supply planning with experience translating forecast plans.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to create process and improvement systems in collaboration with others.
- A strong analytical ability and experience in developing metrics to measure and improve operational capabilities.
- Experience in managing suppliers with differing lead times and driving efficiencies through order patterns, service levels and cost.
- Must be open to change, collaboration with the ability pushing back against internal teams that may show resistance.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think strategically and alongside senior management but also manage day to day operations.
- Computer literate with extensive exposure to systems (Pronto advantageous) and Microsoft Excel.
- Must be a team player who is motivated, driven and can drive change in an inclusive and collaborative manner.
