In Western Australia, proud operator of Path Transit, we operate a fleet of over 400 buses on behalf of the Public Transport Authority within the Perth Metropolitan Area from our depots located in Bayswater, Kalamunda, Morley, Redcliffe and Welshpool.
**About the role**
This role will carry out all aspects of the computer aided scheduling system and the related operational planning process to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of timetabled services including service plans, scheduling and rostering. We require applicants to be well presented with a good driving record, excellent customer service skills.
- Responsible for the construction of drivers’ shifts and rosters using the computer aided scheduling system for the operation of bus services.
- Responsible for rostering charter to driver’s shifts and ensures the allocated work adheres to the appropriate industrial agreements.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the outcome of reviews to bus services.
- Determines the allocation of bus types to routes to ensure maximum resource utilisation is achieved.
- Responsible for preparing bus and staff disposition for various depots.
- Responsible for balancing the peak fleet requirement to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.
- Responsible for conducting periodic reviews of all shifts and duty rosters.
- Maintains a central file on service changes and the requirements for the operation of the computerised Scheduling software.
**Skill and Experience**
- Understanding of Route Planning, Service Planning, Scheduling and Rostering procedures.
- Knowledge of Bus Drivers Award and Enterprise Agreement (desirable).
- Knowledge of the computer aided scheduling system and ability to use operating system.
- Proficient computer skills in the use of both Word and Excel.
- Good Knowledge of B.M.S. procedures.
- Good analytical ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Be able to work unsupervised and use initiative.
- Requires good time and management skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
