With a focus on delivering infrastructure projects as part of the Go for Gold Fund, the Playgrounds & Tuckshops Upgrade Program and the Australian Government's School Upgrade Fund, the team provides strategic advice, program and project management ensuring the program deliverables align with strategic objectives.
The Infrastructure Services Division is looking for a Principal Project Coordinator to manage and lead a small team to collaborate with stakeholders to support the infrastructure delivery of projects in the:
- Go for Gold Fund
- School Playgrounds and Tuckshops Upgrades Program and;
- The Australian Government's Schools Upgrade Fund.
A background in program or contract management would be desirable.
About the Role
As the Principal Project Coordinator, you will have responsibility for the following:
- Undertake high level planning to develop the current packages for implementation with school and early childhood communities across Queensland to modernise and optimise school facilities.
- Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of project and program delivery including financial and human resources, initial planning, construction and commissioning of multiple complex projects within a legislative and contractual framework.
- Develop, maintain and monitor critical relationships with clients, stakeholders and service providers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Managing critical project information such as milestones and expenditure to ensure project data is up to date at all times within departmental systems - including SAP
- Support the work of other team members through mentoring and training opportunities.
The Principal Project Coordinator reports to the Director, Priority Programs, Special Program Delivery based in the Brisbane CBD.
About YouTo be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience delivering government infrastructure projects including experience delivering numerous projects concurrently across geographically diverse locations.
- Demonstrated high level capacity to work effectively under pressure and within strict time constraints.
- Demonstrated effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to represent the department and to establish and maintain mutually productive partnerships with clients, team members and other stakeholders.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
