**About the Role**

This role supports the School’s boarding community by providing pastoral, domestic and administrative support to staff, boarders and their families. In this role, you will undertake duties with care, commitment and enthusiasm, setting a positive and energetic example within both the boarding and broader School community.

**About You**

You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

- Previous experience in the care of students or young people in a residential environment:

- Exhibit warmth, care and compassion.
- Model appropriate strong relational skills and socially acceptable behaviours.
- Have a high level of emotional intelligence and skills in relationship building.
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to plan and organise
- An understanding of a school environment
- Willingness and experience to foster a caring, nurturing and respectful environment that creates a sense of “home away from home” for all students living in boarding
- Demonstrated understanding in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Strong communication skills with students, staff and parents: both written and verbal
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

All team members at CGS are required to have:

- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
