On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.
Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.
The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
Position Purpose
The Commercial Content Lead is a dynamic and innovative professional responsible for driving the creation and execution of commercial content strategies. This role focuses on developing engaging content that supports the club’s commercial objectives, including sponsorships, partnerships, and marketing campaigns. The Commercial Content Lead will work closely with the Head of Content and other departments to ensure cohesive and impactful content delivery across all platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities
**Commercial Content Strategy**:
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with commercial goals and enhance brand visibility.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for content development.
**Campaign Development**:
- Lead the creation of content for commercial campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and sponsorship objectives.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to integrate content into broader campaign strategies.
**Content Creation**:
- Produce high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and digital channels.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and voice.
**Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the Head of Content and other departments to ensure content consistency and integration across all initiatives.
- Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to align on content goals and deliverables.
**Analytics and Reporting**:
- Utilise data and analytics to measure content performance and optimise strategies for better engagement and ROI.
- Prepare detailed reports on content performance and present findings to Head of Content.
**Stakeholder Management**:
- Liaise with commercial partners and sponsors to understand their needs and deliver tailored content solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing collaboration.
**Innovation**:
- Stay updated with the latest trends in content marketing and social media to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the role.
- Experiment with new content formats and platforms to engage audiences.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in content creation and strategy, preferably in a commercial or marketing context.
- Proven experience in content creation and strategy, preferably in a commercial or marketing context.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
- Proficiency in using content management systems and analytics tools.
