**The Role**

Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has come up for a Finance Officer role at our head office in Epping. Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant, the Finance Officer will be responsible for the smooth and efficient financial administration of the company which includes banking, issuing receipts, bank statement reconciliation, Petty cash reconciliation, cashflow forecasting, balance sheet account reconciliation, corporate card management and to assist in month end process and auditing.

**As Finance Officer, you will:

- Record bank transactions accurately and timely
- Monitor bank account balance and initiate bank transfers to meet daily cash requirements
- Monitor Petty Cash balance, follow up with Petty Cash Custodians for excessive balance
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and bank statements
- Ensure month end and year end close completed on time
- Contribute in a positive and professional manner, ensuring clear communication about work objectives and outcomes, resulting in a cohesive working team with a common goal
- Certificate IV in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in Banking and Bank Statement Reconciliation
- Proven experience with commercial accounting software (Epicor or similar Finance/ERP system)
- Demonstrated understanding of accounts receivable and payable procedures including GST and related concepts
- Understanding of Health, Aged Care or Not-for-Profit sectors is desirable
