**The Opportunity**
We're seeking a Pitch and Pursuits Manager to join our Business Development team. Joining the Australian Pitching team, you will lead and deliver complex bids and pitches for the Australian business, while contributing to the team’s collective pursuits strategy and taking individual accountability for converting specific revenue opportunities.
Day to day you will:
- Lead and manage panel pitch responses, overseeing the entire process and making critical decisions to keep the project on track and hold stakeholders accountable.
- Independently run significant pitches for the Australian region, including scoping opportunities, conducting client research, and developing tailored win strategies with compelling sales messaging.
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s pursuits strategy and capability and lead efforts to convert specific revenue opportunities, such as targeting specific areas of work following panel appointments.
- Support the implementation of pitching best practices, compliance measures, and administrative tasks, such as conflicts resolution and maintaining pitch records.
- Collaborate closely with senior BD managers and Heads of Product to manage workflow, expectations, and effectively differentiate the firm from competitors.
- Proactively source and potentially write practice group-specific content relevant to RFPs' client/sector coverage.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a pitching or business development advisory or consultancy role, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment (we will consider those with more or less experience)
- Demonstrated experienced in building strategic relationships, and successfully managing bids, pursuits and panel responses.
- Ability to problem solve and offer suggestions, use deductive questioning to tighten the brief and ensure that a proposal is tailored to the specific needs of the client, appreciating perspectives of all members of the client teams (partners and business services).
- Ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell other services (legal and other) and craft bespoke value added offerings.
- Experience delivering training programs for lawyers (i.e. those below Partner level) to drive a 'pursuits' culture.
- Knowledge of sophisticated systems, processes and infrastructure that represents best practice pursuit management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

As part of the business development team, you will play a hands-on role in contributing to the firm's success and helping to achieve its objectives. This could be as one of our business development professionals, coaching partners on relationship building, or building our brand as one of our marketing, design or events professionals.
