**About Us**:
QE Foodstores is a group of independent Australian family-owned grocery stores located across 11 Sydney locations in the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and North Sydney.

**About the role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance department. The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments to vendors, suppliers and other external parties.
- Review, process and verify invoices while checking requests for accuracy and completeness
- Code and enter invoices into the system and obtain approval of invoices, as needed
- Process and record payments and adjustments
- Resolve vendor and invoice issues in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare aging reports and other financial reports as needed for the Financial Controller
- Communicate with vendors and other internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Handle all intercompany invoicing for multiple Companies

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Can process numerous invoices over a short period (traditional invoicing without purchase orders)
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with financial software and Excel - MYOB, ZERO or equivalent. ABM is desirable
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in intercompany invoicing and sweeping month end intercompany payments
- Experienced in processing invoices in multiple companies
