**The Role**
Key Duties:

- Invoice processing, contract management and performing relevant procurement related activities.
- Support the team lead by assisting with end of month and end of year reporting functions including reconciliation, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Assist with end of month financial processing, reconciliations and the preparation of internal and external monthly reports
- Assist with day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, budgets and credit card processes.
- Management and coordination of new and existing contracts.
- Management of Contractor Performance reviews.
- Providing advice to the team in relation to finance, procurement and contract management.
- Organise meetings including preparing agendas, briefs, minutes and presentation packs.
- Investigate, resolve and respond to internal and external client queries.
- Backup for other team member roles and
- Other ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as directed/required.

**About our Team**
Investment Portfolio Management Branch supports the highest-level decision makers in Defence and government by providing independent analysis and advice to deliver a more capable Australian Defence Force (ADF).

We directly support the Vice Chief of the Defence Force in his role as Chair of the Investment Committee and we are an influential voice with the ability to shape and assure outcomes on the big investment decisions for the ADF.

You will:

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be trustworthy and have a high level of integrity and discretion.
- Have the ability to understand policy and procedures.
- Be able to work under pressure and manage urgent tasking within short time frames.
- Be able to perform a range of administrative support tasks for the senior executive team and
- Have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
