Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Key Responsibilities / Authorities:
- Full ownership of retail channel P&L by optimizing sales and meet all financial targets and KPI’s.
- In collaboration with the Global Retail CoE, Develop and execute key initiatives and strategies that will innovate the day-to-day operations of the stores to increase sales (service), reduce cost (payroll/shrink) and drive profitability and conversion.
- Partner with RBO teams - Merchandising, Planning, Store Development, Marketing, Franchise - to properly plan and execute all operational activities in the stores.
- Manage store level execution through the District Managers and Store Managers to ensure maximization of sales and profit, outstanding customer service, compliance to policies and operational standards.
- Provide consistent coaching of District Managers in the areas of business planning, selling skills, leadership, and operational excellence to ensure the financial achievement for Pacific Retail.
- Lead the execution of retail staff onboarding and training through Global Sales Academy tools and localized activations.
- Oversee the implementation and execution of all digital strategies including Omnihub to enhance both the employee and consumer experience to create efficiencies and heightened storytelling.
- Partner with the adidas Franchise Manager to ensure consistency between Own Retail and Franchise stores through strong collaboration in the areas of, but not limited to, processes, promotions, store and staff contesting system updates, testing and all operational processes.
- Align with Buying and Marketing team to implement initiatives to drive incremental traffic and increase conversion.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to create product launch plans that focus on seamless execution within stores and ensure a on-going focus on LP policies and procedures.
- Enable and support a best-in-class environment within retail fleet which provides acceptance, education and awareness on all topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Work effectively with the Sr. Director of Retail to ensure continuous innovation and development in every aspect of the business as well as effective day-to-day communications.
- In partnership with Human Resources, execute performance and career path development for all team members, both direct reports as well as store teams.
- Build and foster relationships with key partners within global retail teams.
- Travel to stores to ensure the strategy, policies and procedures are executed in a consistent manner; to build productive relationships across the entire retail fleet to identify future talent; to remain current on all competitive activity.

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills with strong command of English language
- Strong knowledge of the retail landscape in Australia and New Zealand.
- Exceptional and engaging leadership and management skills that quickly build both internal and external confidence in business direction.
- Ability to portray a confident, positive, and winning attitude in challenging business interactions.
- Strategic, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and structured environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statement and store Key Performance Indicators to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgment.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong independent decisions with speed.
- Excellent relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time across the Pacific region and internationally as needed.
- Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university
- 10+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years people leadership experience
- Experience working for a sporting goods and fashion retailer with a primary emphasis/responsibility of a full price retail business.
