**Located in Moorabbin**

Our client is a well known global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging for a range of industries including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other products. We now have the pleasure of being able to assist our client with sourcing a Purchasing Officer for the Moorabbin Site.
- Purchasing of direct materials and receipting. Ensure they meet quality, time and cost requirements in liaison with key suppliers.
- Review and implement cost savings (through working capital holdings) for direct materials from multiple sites with common suppliers and materials.
- Undertake order amendments and cancellations, material substitutions, confirmation of orders, closure of obsolete or filled Purchase orders and supplier pricing data maintenance
- Communication and Consultation with planning, manufacturing, warehouse, customer service and necessary stakeholders through active participation in related meetings and in the day to day role.
- Escalate issues to stakeholders and management where necessary. Provide data to support these communications.
- Inventory management including space management in conjunction with warehouse team
- Work cross-functionally to develop transition plans for materials where required

Knowledge/Skills:

- Microsoft suite of software
- QAD and SAP experience ideal but not mandatory
- B2B exposure
- Purchasing experience
- Advanced Technical, Problem solving and decision making skills
- PC and system base knowledge of high standard
- Presentation, Interpersonal and Communication skills of the highest order
