Reporting to the Head of Department, the** **Design Manager is responsible for the design and planning of new Schnitz sites, existing site renovations, branding updates and the management of Design Guidelines. The purpose is to ensure that all designs align with the brand's objectives and are delivered within budget and timeline constraints.

As the Design Manager, you will conceptualise and develop store designs, site renovations and branding upgrades. We are seeking an individual who has strong attention to detail, problem solving abilities and exceptional stakeholder management.

**Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:
**The Role Recipe**:

- Implementing the Schnitz Design strategy in alignment with our company roadmap.
- Maintaining, updating and managing the design guidelines
- Driving store design and approvals in line with guidelines, processes and legislative codes.
- An understanding of Category One works and the potential implications on projects.
- Providing regular updates and debriefs to internal stakeholders, Franchise Partners and third parties.
- Coordinating and finalising design documentation ensuring all required detail is captured.
- Working with third parties to provide design solutions.
- Managing Practical Completion Process and ensuring all design defects are resolved.
- Create visual merchandising and customer touch point guidelines
- Undertake site measures and design defects inspections
- Coordinate floor plans, colour finishes, schedules of finishes floor plans and services layouts
- Manage concept submissions for internal RDM Reviews

**Key Ingredients**:

- 5 years + experience working in Commercial Design within the Hospitality or Retail sector
- Degree in Interior Design or equivalent work experience
- General Design knowledge
- Knowledge of Design Processes
- Technical Drawing ability
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Revit and Excel
- Understanding of Category One works and lessor obligations
- Knowledge of heat loads and services, be able to complete an RDMQ
- BCA and regulatory understanding
- Knowledge of health regulations and statutory requirements
- Project Management Experience
