Based at our **Singleto**n branch, the Workshop Leading Hand is responsible for repairing Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites.
**Your typical day will focus on**
- Diagnose & repair mechanical faults across various equipment workshop - work on large earthmoving generators, lighting plants, and boom lifts.
- Lead and supervise a team of Workshop Mechanics, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to mechanics, particularly in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical faults in various on-site equipment.
- Coordinate the workshop's daily activities, including scheduling repairs, allocating resources, and maintaining stock levels of spare parts.
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that all repair and maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with site-specific protocols and safety regulations.

**About you**
- ** Work hours from 7:00 AM till 3:06 PM, with a willingness to work overtime as required to meet customer demands.**:

- Relevant Trade qualifications.
- Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics pneumatics and basic electrical skills.
- Effective time management and attention to detail.
- Supervisor experience in a busy workshop environment.
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.
